In the mean time, I have been a pinning fool. At first I didn't know why everyone was obsessed with Pinterest. I didn't know why I needed to be "invited" and why did it want to link to my facebook? I hate facebook apps! Well, I finally took the plunge and became a pinner (is that a word? I have no idea!). I found out you can remove the facebook linking through their settings section. I also downloaded the pin it link to my favorites bar. Love it! I can pin so quickly!
I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but I'm kind of a hippie at heart. Or is it yuppie? Hipster? I don't know. I spend a lot of time at home with my thoughts and imagine what I want my life to be like and I can tell you a few things:
I want a bright, colorful house. This is an inspiration board based on Penny's apartment from The Big Bang Theory.
Although, it shouldn't be too perfect... there should be a "collected" feel to it, like I put everything up on accident and it turned out beautiful.

And there should definitely be a feeling of global comfort. I love traveling and would like to "clothe" my house in items that are both beautiful and meaningful... like this free trade wall-hanging.
Speaking of culture, I couldn't forget to decorate with a nod to the area I live in. Albuquerque has so many amazing Mexican folk art stores. I love Dia De Los Muertos.

Of course, I will need a beautifully organized craft space.

But most of all, I want a garden. Our apartment sits in shade and I was always envious of those who grow items on their balconies. We'll finally have a yard to grow stuff!

Maybe in a year or two we can add chickens as well.

So now you can see why I'm so excited to finally have a house of my own. I can't wait to be the little hippie I am inside.

It's an addiction. Seriously. Especially if you're looking for a new house, you're looking for new ideas, projects. You will find more than enough! Haha, I'm working on some now that I found on Pinterest.
